Ukrainian drones have targeted Moscow, and in retaliation, Russia has struck Kiev with missiles. This war is continuing, regardless of the West’s interference, sanctions, or threats.

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) were intercepted over Rostov, Belgorod, and Moscow regions overnight, according to officials.  Russian air defenses were able to destroy dozens of incoming Ukrainian drones across multiple regions on Sunday night and early Monday morning. Kiev has intensified its UAV raids deep into Russian territory over the past week, even after calling for renewed peace talks.

At least 13 drones headed toward the Russian capital were intercepted by 6:30 am Monday, Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said on Telegram, adding that the emergency services were working at the crash sites where debris fell. –RT

The Russian ruling class has condemned the raids by Kiev as “terrorist attacks,” claiming they often target residential buildings and civilian infrastructure instead of military outposts. In response, the Russian military carried out a series of strikes last week on Ukrainian defense industrial facilities involved in the production of drones and missile components; however, Kiev alleges other strikes have targeted civilian areas of the country, without releasing specifics or clear video.

Ukrainian officials have also claimed that Russia has launched multiple waves of missile and drone strikes on Kiev overnight. The first strikes were reported shortly after midnight, with Mayor Vitaly Klitschko urging residents to seek shelter as the capital’s air defenses engaged incoming targets. The Russian Defense Ministry has yet to comment on these strikes, according to a report by RT.

Ukrainian rulers and military officials have shared several blurry videos on Ukrainian social media that appear to show the aftermath of the strikes, although the exact locations and types of facilities hit remain difficult to verify due to strict censorship by Ukrainian authorities.

Ukrainian media propagandists and officials did not specify the targets either. Instead, they vaguely described them as a supermarket, a warehouse, and an uninhabited cottage complex.
