The US and Iran Exchange Strikes

The United States and Iran have exchanged several strikes since Friday. These renewed attacks...

Heading into the 4th of July, when Americans will celebrate their “independence” from England in exchange for dependence on a new system, the pride in that system dropped. Fewer citizens claim to be “proud” to be an American.

According to a Gallup poll, this is the lowest level of national pride in 25 years. The poll, released on Monday, comes just days before the United States marks the 250th anniversary of independence.

Only 33% of US adults say they are “extremely proud” to be an American, the lowest reading in Gallup‘s trend dating back to 2001. Another 20% of the civilian (slave) class say they are “very proud,” which means just over half of Americans express high levels of pride in their country.

It is a major benefit to the ruling class and its tight grip on power to continue to keep the slave class of a country “proud” of them. This could be a sign that the propaganda is no longer working and people are beginning to see the ruling class for what it has always been: a small group of people exerting control over others.

Nine percent of Americans reported being “not proud at all” of the US.

When Gallup first asked this question in 2001, 55% of U.S. adults were extremely proud to be American. That’s a large drop. Pride in the US surged after 9/11, when the pro-America propaganda was at an all-time high.

9/11 was one incident that ensured tyranny became entrenched in the minds of the US slave class. Once they “believe” in something, no amount of evidence is persuasive. This is why the ruling class needs unquestioning subservience to it and pride in it.

There is also a major gap between the two political parties when it comes to pride.  The current 56-point gap between Republicans’ and Democrats’ reported extreme pride is similar to last year’s 57-point difference, the highest on record. Republicans are more likely to say that they are “extremely proud” to be an American.

There is also a gender disparity when it comes to pride. Extreme pride has fallen sharply among women since last year, down 13 points to 26%, while men are essentially unchanged at 42%.

This trend is likely to continue as people figure out that they are being ruled and that they are not free and never have been.
