The ruling class, at the behest of right-leaning Americans, is becoming more unhinged. Pam Bondi, the United States attorney general, said the government will “absolutely target” people who use “hate speech” in the wake of the killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
Bondi said on a podcast hosted by Katie Miller, the wife of the rightwing White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller, that there is “free speech and then there’s hate speech, and there is no place, especially now, especially after what happened to Charlie, in our society”.

U.S. head tyrant, Donald Trump, doubled down on Bondi’s rhetoric. When asked about Bondi’s comments on Tuesday, Trump told an ABC News reporter, “We’ll probably go after people like you because you treat me so unfairly. It’s hate. You have a lot of hate in your heart. Maybe they’ll come after ABC.”
JON KARL: What do you make of Pam Bondi saying she’s gonna go after hate speech? A lot of your allies say hate speech is free speech

Even hate speech, speech you don’t like, lies, and evil or cruel speech are covered by the First Amendment. The ruling class should never target anyone for speaking their mind.
The right has consistently blamed the murder of Charlie Kirk on “lies” and “propaganda” about the things Kirk had said. The inflammatory figure has used his Bible to say things that disparage women, and he’s made comments that could definitely be considered racist. He’s also a Christian nationalist, which means he wanted to impose a theocracy that would force Christianity by law on everyone. (And yes, I have personally read or listened to his entire commentary in context, and the context does not make what he says “better.”)
Christian Nationalism On the Rise: Ruler Reposts Video Saying Women Should Not Be Allowed To Vote
A lot of the things Kirk said should be called out, and people have every right to take issue with and criticize what he says. Like everyone else, though, Kirk also has the right to say whatever he wants. A law or regulation targeting Americans can only end one way. Whether it’s Christian Nationalism or socialism, the result will look the same for everyone. The ruling class will control everyone else, and if you step out of line, you’ll be punished. Liberty and freedom will evaporate.

We are not responsible for what others say, and policing the speech of others is a double-edged sword that will be wielded against you in the future, when you don’t like the next ruler. We are responsible for our actions and what we believe.
