Yes.  13-days out from the 17th when the FOMC rate decision will be announced.  Before we lay out this morning’s ADP and Challenger job numbers – ahead of tomorrow’s Federal data – a word about the Fed.

I’m working on a longer piece for our Peoplenomics.com subscribers (they get rhyme and verse). But, the general idea is that the Fed:

  • Should hold rates steady.
  • As web speed, robotics and Ai pile up, managing rates will begin to operate “in reverse.”
  • While capitulation of rates remains likely (powering gold higher via inflationary pressure) the real outcome will be “popping IPO’s” and the same rich-getting richer.

Lowering rates gets into our long held view that as we creep up to the Second Depression, the traditional “levers pulled to change economy” will enter what bush pilots know as the “region of reversed command authority.”

I used to love short-field landings. With power on, nose way up, pulling back any more doesn’t increase rate of climb – it stalls it.  In normal flight configurations, pulling the “nose up” makes the plane “gain altitude.”

The Fed’s box canyon looks like that:  Cheap rates?  Sure, a few more Ai hires, more robotics.  But the decline in manufacturing jobs is the ninja assassin for this economy.  Reader dLynn called it out this week, too:

“Jobless Americans outnumber openings for first time in years. There are more Americans out of work than there are jobs open for the first time since April 2021, the July JOLTS report. showed. With manufacturing down six months in a row., and JOLTS report like that – it’s gonna be a while before any kind of “up tick” emerges.”

Control of rates used to work but that was before the “Dawn of Made-Up money.”  The only things backing most crypto, for example is…uh…nothing.

If crypto is the new manna (gift from God) and we really need more capital to hire humans – then Godspeed.  But it doesn’t work that way any more.  Lowering rates will underwrite the continued obsoleting of humans, pure and simple.

Elaine and I are having our Wills updated. We chose the humans to do that.  Could I have run it through our Ai stack after scanning the old Wills and been done with it in 10-minutes?  Hell yeah.  But you see? When we can, we vote with our wallets. Keep the money “in the neighborhood.”  Not in some candy-assed Bankster’s pocket.

We’re putting Human Labor on the Endangered List.

Part of it’s our own fault; shoddy quality, bad designs, slipshod customer service,  But part is a Marchetti S-Curve called the replacement stochastic.  Watts Wacker and Jim Taylor wrote about it in “The 500-Year Delta.”  Been in view since 1997…now it’s knocking loudly.

Our turn at the Guillotine of Jobs won’t feature that Antoinette hoe It’ll be a bankster audience of robots and code.  Self-replicating if we can’t figure out how to hobble those damn tax free avoiders.

We need a “token tax on Ai” and a human replacement tax on robotics.

Or you’re a buggy whip and I’m either a ditto machine, or carbon paper.

Our advice: Ahead of the Fed?  Click here to stock up.  On which cheery note, into the Jobs.

Challenger Job Cuts

As Ai replaces hum,an brain power, we have what we suspect is a leading edge event here:

“U.S.-based employers announced 85,979 job cuts in August, up 39% from the 62,075 announced in July. It is up 13% from the 75,891 announced in the same month last year, according to a report released Thursday from global outplacement and business and executive coaching firm Challenger, Gray & Christmas.”

Why, just think:  If we could only lower rates to zero, the owners of capital could see returns on Mars while the rest of us since back into the mud… (unless 3I/ATLAS fractures – but that’s a different problem…)

ADP Numbers

Soft:

Private sector employment increased by 54,000 jobs in August and pay was up 4.4 percent year-over-year according to the August ADP National Employment Report® produced by ADP/ Research

Where are we?  Back of the envelop says 54,000 new minus about 86,000 layoffs…yeah, that’s Chinese robotics, buddy.

Unemployment Filings

So again, if you’re slow: Machines are essentially “free to manufacturers” now what we depreciation and such.  No tax on their use as they rampage along the path to total human replacement.  Just marvy, huh?

What the Mainstream doesn’t mention: While the heavy liberal media harps Judge reverses Trump administration’s cuts of billions of dollars to Harvard University,  There’s one thing everyone fails to ask.  Check the Washington Port on this but as of June 30, 2024, Harvard’s endowment stood at $53.2? billion.  As a taxpayer, why is the FedGov putting Endowment preservation ahead of taxpayer sweat money?  Bullshit.  When the endowment’s under a BILLION maybe there’d be something to talk about.  IF constitutional equality (not the woke/DEI crap) is strictly observed.  See in our worldview, there’s only Excellence or Fraud.  Why is taxpayer money going to schools so they can make money on their investments?  Uh…no.

Wait!  You mean to tell me that with all this Woke/DEI crap selling sexual sizzle still works?  Here’s a remarkable data point: American Eagle shares spike 25% after hailing Sydney Sweeney campaign success.  Oh, wait…exploitation for money is OK???  Here I would have thought woke/DEI would demand a 50 percent carve-out for ugly people….sheesh.

Around the Ranch: Woo-Woo Season Nears

Monday, September 22n’d is coming along quickly.  It’s a special time of year for us, because there are two general periods during the year when my (unasked for) ability to have dreams with bits of prophetic content seems to ramp up.

Although the strongest period is March-April – around the Spring Equinox, the fall dreamscapes are already changing.  If you notice any changes in your sleep patterns, that’s no woo-woo. That’s normal.

Elaine and I will spend the next couple of weeks “dialing in bed headings…”  I already know from past experience that my “best dreaming direction” is up about 330-degrees (northwest).

There isn’t any solid scientific evidence that compass orientation (north, south, east, west) directly shapes dream content. Most references to sleep direction come from traditional systems like Feng Shui, Vastu Shastra, or Ayurveda, which prescribe head positions for health, clarity, or vitality. These are cultural frameworks, not empirically tested dream science.

What has been studied is sleep posture:

  • Stomach sleepers report more vivid, intense, and often sexual or persecutory dreams.
  • Right-side sleepers have more positive dreams and fewer nightmares than left-side sleepers, who report significantly more nightmares.
  • Back sleepers sometimes experience sleep paralysis and related dream imagery.

So: direction = tradition, posture = evidence.

That said, there’s a lot of tradition about dream technique: In Feng Shui, head-to-north is said to harmonize with Earth’s energy, while Vastu Shastra and Ayurveda suggest east for clarity or south for grounding rest. Native American practices sometimes tie dream recall to sleeping under the stars or aligning with seasonal directions. Tibetan dream yoga places emphasis not so much on compass heading as on posture and intention at bedtime. Across traditions, the common thread is that orientation and ritual can “tune” dream states—even if science points more to sleep posture than compass heading.

Other items to focus on to improve your “dream-ahead” capacity?  Dial it back if you’re doing more than one glass of wine or a long beer before dinner.  Alcohol changes how your brain en gags sleep and therer’s a reason ETOH is called “spirits.

There’s also a vitamin link to vivid dreams and this whole arcana on your path to becoming a Oneironaut.   A what?  An oneironaut is a person who explores and navigates dreams, often practicing lucid dreaming to gain awareness and control within the dream state. The term comes from Greek roots meaning “dream sailor.”

Last checkpoint as you “pre-tune” your :”onboard, low-noise” brain settings:  Vitamins.

The vitamin with the best evidence for influencing dreams is Vitamin B6. Clinical studies show high-dose B6 (around 240 mg before bed) increases dream recall and sometimes vividness, though results on vividness are mixed. Other B vitamins, like B-complex or B12, don’t have strong support—B-complex may even worsen sleep, and B12 has mostly anecdotal reports. So if you’re aiming for more vivid dreaming, B6 is the one with real data behind it.

Have fun – and if lucidity comes to your non-local Realms time (sleep) enjoy the ride and remember you’re in charge.,  Just their ON behalf of the Universe/GATU.
